1995 chevy 1 ton turbo diesl 6.5 runs good but black smoke on accelleration?
installed new vac pump new fuel filter all glow plugs working. could it be injector nozles.or injectors ? or would it be worth installing marine injectors at 40hp over stock injectors?
It could be a timing problem.
GM has had a number of problems with the electronic fuel pumps. If you haven’t done so already contact GM.

My ’94’s injector pump was replaced 3 times before the problem was solved.
