Wheel (rims) repair?
I have a 2000 Toyota Corolla. My girlfriend hit a curb today. The tire now has a slash in it, and the wheel (rim) is bent on one of the tires towards the edge. It’s bent in the place where u put the wheel cap (or a hubcap).
I went to Firestone today and they didn’t have any wheels in stock. I know discount tire has them, but their website said that I need to buy a $45 “wheel installation kit” with it??? That makes the wheel over $110 which is MUCH more than I want to spend.
Do you guys know if the wheel can be repaired (the metal unbent)? Also, do i have to buy new wheel mount kit? Do you guys know if any other place that does this stuff?
Call some forigen wrecking yards in your area,, they should have some perfectr wheels off a totaled car.
